Reviews from Our Clients

I started Pilates last year with Point Pilates. I fell in love with the beautiful dynamic duo couple owners Sam and Colin. They were so welcoming and their guidance, cues, sequencing and personalities made me come back since then. All of the teachers are excellent and diverse. They are true Pilates teachers who have a high amount of knowledge in the physical body and how the body works. You will never be disappointed in any of the classes!

Point Pilates is a fantastic studio with a dynamic and diverse group of instructors as well as quality ownership. I’ve taken classes with most of the instructors and while I have my favorites, they all bring a lot to the table. Megan’s classes are an experience. My body gets a workout while my soul takes a nap to her artfully curated playlists. Bri is a smiling assassin who will draw more out of you than you thought you had. And Marcia, buckle up. I’ve also taken classes with the owners and they are talented in their own right as you would expect. The new instructor Sam seems anything but. I had the privilege of taking her first training class, and she fits in like a veteran. Before joining I had tried other studios and as a tubby 55 year old male with no experience, I was rightfully nervous. This studio made me feel the most at home, by far. Highly recommend. It’s a vibe. I am unfortunately moving out of Point Loma soon but this studio is high on a short list of my favorite things about the area.

From day one, the Point Pilates team has proven to be knowledgeable, helpful, and instructive for all levels of Pilates students (personally, I’m new to Pilates). Good selection of classes (type of class, day/time) and instructors. Instructors are highly aware of proper form and training; for instance, where needed, they provide adjustments (verbal or hands on) to ensure proper form and muscle engagement and reduce potential for missteps. While I don’t have a favorite instructor (they all are great!), I do know that several students have expressed how well Collin coaches and encourages their workouts — “it’s his voice” :)(that is so encouraging). I find this to be true of all the teachers. Be sure to try the “New Student” offering — a great deal for sure!

“In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you’ll see a difference, and in 30 sessions you’ll have a whole new body.”
